Fall Market

The Asheville City local farmer's market is just incredible right now. We have one on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. So many local organic farmers participate and the bounty is amazing. I just had to post some vegetable photos. I was really excited to find fresh ginger and lemongrass grown here! The ginger has a long stem that looks like bamboo, and it's just beautiful. It was neat to see it as a whole plant and not just the dried root in the store. This young, fresh ginger can be frozen as well, so I stocked up. I also love coming home and washing all my greens for the week, so I can use them in smoothies, salads and stir-fry. Very fun!
